Obituary

Was Old Employee of Scale Company

Asahel F. Dean, aged 76 years, one of the oldest residents of Paddock village, in St. Johnsbury, died very suddenly Tuesday of Bright's disease. He was a member of Chamberlin Post, G.A.R., having served two and a half year sin Lousiana with Company C, 8th Vt.

He was one of the first employees of E. & T. Fairbanks & Co., St. Johnsbury, remaining with them for 53 years.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Knapp, and one son, Herbert E.
