Henry A. Ellis.

Henry A. Ellis, 89, a farmer and for a long time a resident of this village, died about 7:30 o'clock Tuesday night after a long period of failing health. Besides his wife he leaves four children, Mrs. Lewis Savage of this town, Fay L. Ellis of Brattleboro, Mrs. Benson of South Londonderry and Mrs. Page of Wardsboro, also a sister, Mrs. Wesley Howard of West Townshend. The funeral was held in the home at 1 o'clock yesterday, Rev. R. J. Traynor of the Congregational church officiating. Selections were sung by Rev. and Mrs. T. C. Brewster. The burial took place in the village cemetery. Mr. Ellis was a veteran of the Civil war, and he received a pension, recently increased for wounds received in that conflict.
