Obituary

Sylvanus Simonds Fox died at the Retreat early last Thursday morning after several months' illness from Bright's disease. Mr. Fox was the son of Lewis and Adeline (Simonds) Fox and was born in Woodford Sept. 28, 1846, where he lived until ten years of age when he came to Brattleboro where he has since lived. He was a member of Co. I, 8th regiment, Vt. Vols., in the civil war.
