Aged Man Was Formerly Resident of Sunderland

Eli Gilbar, aged 81, of the Burgess road died at Putnam Memorial hospital Tuesday. Mr. Gilbar was born in Richford and has been a resident of Vermont all his life, having moved from Sunderland two years ago and making his home in Bennington since then. Mr. Gilbar was a Civil war veteran.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Harvey Gilbar of Sunderland and one daughter, Mrs. Libby Green of Corinth, N.Y. A prayer will be said at the home at 11:30 Thursday and the funeral will be held at the Union church at Sunderland at two o'clock standard time. Burial will be in Sunderland.
