Remarks: Died in Salem, IL. There is conflicting documentation. Illinois Vital Records say the William O. Gould buried here died 1/17/1918, but pension record shows he died before 12/20/1909, and his widow Mary A. applied for a pension. In this plot, Mary E. died in 1913, and he in 1918, so she couldn't have applied for a pension. The military headstone on Findagrave is not on the family plot.
