Russell S. Herrick, one of the oldest and most prominent Springfield citizens, died in Springfield following a long illness. Mr. Herrick, a Civil War veteran, was vice president of the Springfield Savings Bank, and has held many town offices during his long residence there. He was born there 75 years ago.
