H. J. Huntoon, 86, died yesterday morning at his home in Chittenden. He was a veteran of the civil war, a member of Company I, 5th regiment, Vermont Volunteers.

He is survived by his wife, three sons, W. L. Huntoon, R. J. Huntoon and H. T. Huntoon all of this city.; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Churchill of Brandon and Mrs. Lola Fairbanks of Chittenden.; three brothers, Frank Huntoon and Rodney Huntoon of Wallingford, and Levi N. Huntoon of this city; and a sister, Miss Eliza A. Huntoon of this city.

The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at his late home in Chittenden. Burial will be in the East Pittsford cemetery.
