NAPOLEON B. LAMONDE volunteered from the town of Cambridge, September 8th, 1862 at the age of 18, and joined Company H by transfer, and was mustered out July 21st, 1863 by reason of having served his term of enlistment. Re-enlisted September 25th, 1863 into Company B, 17th Regt., Vt. Vols., and was wounded in the battle of Spotsylvania Court House, Va., May 12th, 1864, and was mustered out July 14th, 1865. This was a brave soldier and freely offered up his life on the altar of his country.
