BROOKFIELD

C.C. Lyon Died Last Week, Leaving Only Two Civil War Veterans.

I.N. Abbot was called to the house of the late Charles C. Lyon on the east hill Thursday morning in the case of his death, which occurred that morning. He was 88 years, seven months and 30 days old and a veteran of the Civil war. His funeral was held Friday afternoon from the late home. Only two Civil war veterans are now left in town, Ira Carpenter and Harvey Fletcher.
