The funeral of Henry F. Franklin, 82, who died at his home Tuesday morning, Jan. 9, after a short illness, was held at his late residence Thursday at 1 o'clock and was private on account of serious illness in the family. Rev. R. H. Bosworth, pastor of the Congregational church, officiated. The bearers were H. H. Franklin, O. W. Follett, Frank Gale and Lyman Gale. The body was placed in the tomb and will be buried in the springtime beside his wife in Oakwood cemetery. Besides floral tributes from relatives, beautiful pieces were sent from the comrades of Birchard post, G.A.R., from Birchard post, W.R.C., and from the Congregational church.
