John McAllister, who has been in poor health and suffering from bright's disease for some time, had a shock Wednesday night and died Thursday afternoon. His funeral was held at his late home Saturday at one o'clock, Rev. Mr. Wells of South Royalton spoke words of comfort and consolation to the bereaved family and the friends who were present. Mr. McAllister was 64 years old, and a soldier of the Civil War. He leaves a widow and two sons, a son's wife and two grandsons, who have the sympathy of the community in their affliction. The interment was at the village cemetery.
