Obituary

DEATH OF HORACE MEAKER

Veteran of the Civil War Passed Away This Morning.

Horace Meaker, a veteran of the civil war, died at his home on Averill street at 3 o'clock this morning at the age of 72. Mr. Meaker had been in poor health for some time.

Mr. Meaker was a veteran of the civil war, being a member of Co. D, Sixth Vermont Volunteers. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Bodrey, of Burlington, and two brothers, S. G. Meaker, of West Topsham and another who resides in Minnesota.

The funeral will be at the house of C. W. Averill on North street Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock. The Rev. F. A. Poole will officiate. The interment will be in Elmwood cemetery.
