Obituary

CIVIL WAR VETERAN DEAD.

L.E. Meech of Monkton 86 Years of Age at Death.

Monkton, March 23. L.E. Meech, Civil war veteran and well known citizen of this town, died yesterday afternoon at his home. He is survived in his immediate family by one son, D.E. Meech, and by one granddaughter, Mrs. Myrtle Ayres of Burlington, and also by two great-grandsons, Leonard Ayres of Worcester, Mass., and Meech Ayres.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home with the Masonic interment service.
