Daniel Merritt

NEWS and CITIZEN: January 6, 1914

The funeral for Daniel Merritt was held Thursday afternoon at Stowe Forks, after a long illness from tuberculosis. The service was conducted by F.T. Crane and the burial was at the West Branch Cemetery.

Mr. Merritt was about 79 years of age, and spent most of his life in Stowe.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Francis Merritt, by one brother, Joshua W. Merritt, of Newport, and two sisters, Mrs. Amanda Woods of Woodsville, N.H., and Elizabeth Marshall of Garfield.
