JOSEPH MERRITT enrolled September 18th, 1862 and counted on the quota of Stowe, Vt., at the age of 18, and joined Company H. Mustered out with his regiment July 21st, 1863.

The funeral of Joseph Merritt was held from his home Sunday afternoon. The services were in charge of Baxter Post, G. A. R., of which he was a member.
