In Springfield, Sept. 21St, of typhoid fever, Barney W. Parker, aged 20 years and nine months, - a member of Co. E, 16th Vt. Vols. Though cut down in early manhood, he lived long enough to develop a noble character. Kind and generous, he held a place in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, which can never be filled.
