Obituary
Frank Perkins of Rutland, a veteran of the Civil war, died at his home Oct.19 of cerebral hemorrhages. He was a carpenter by trade and was born Feb. 15, 1843, in Barnard. He served in Co. H, 16th Vermont Volunteers, participating in the battle of Gettysburg as a unit of the 2d Vermont brigade.
