Obituary
Montpelier.
John D. Phelps died at the home of his sister, Mrs. R. H. Whittier on School street Sunday afternoon. Deceased was born in Berlin, was 57 years of age and had been troubled with paralysis for some six months. He has resided in this village about 11 years, the 16 years previous being spent in California. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. G. W.Gallagher at 2 o'clock this Tuesday afternoon, and the Brooks G.A.R. post, of which he was a member, are to attend in a body.
