Obituary

WARREN

Town's Last Civil War Veteran Gone, Judson Richardson, 89

Judson Richardson passed away at the home of his daughter Saturday, March 17, after an illness of only a week. Had he lived until April 1, he would have celebrated his 89th birthday. The funeral was held from the church the next Tuesday at 12:30, Rev. W. E. Streeter of Exeter, N. H., officiating. Burial was in the Irasville cemetery beside his wife, who died nine years ago. He is survived by three children, Fred of Fitchburg, Mass., Elwin, who has spent the winter at Mattapan, Mass., and Mrs. Will Young, with whom he made his home. They were all here for the funeral. There are several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Richardson was our last Civil war veteran and had a great many friends who will miss "Jud," as he was called by everyone.
