Hiland H. Shipman

(died) 28 May 1925

H.H. Shipman [Hiland H. Shipman] was born in Weathersfield, Vermont, on April 20, 1841. He enlisted at Brattleboro in Company E, Fourth Vermont Infantry in September, 1861, and after eighteen months of strenuous service in the Shenandoah Valley under Gen. Phil Sheridan, was discharged on account of a broken ankle sustained in the performance of duty.
