Joel B. Smith died at his home near the Stone mill Thursday evening at eight o'clock after a lingering illness with heart trouble. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Alton Morse, and one son who resides in the West. The funeral will be held tomorrow at his late home.
