JOSEPH O. SNOW was one of a large family of that name in Milton and he enlisted there at the age of 25 in Company D. Quiet and unassuming always ready for duty, neat in personal appearance, and ready at all times to help others, he was a popular man in the Company. He served through with the regiment not failing to answer the daily roll call. stood in the front rank at Gettysburg, and was discharged with the regiment July 21st. '63. Returning home he lived some years in his native town, from which he moved to Barre where he died in 1890.
