Civil War Veteran Dies At Home of Son In Whiting Funeral Tuesday

MIDDLEBURY, Jan. 27. Frederick Clayton Swenor died yesterday at the home of his son, Clarence Swenor, in Whiting. He was a Civil War Veteran and was born at Chazy, N.Y., on March 28, 1844.

He is survived by two brothers, John Swenor of Middlebury and Abraham Swenor of Burlington; four sons, Clarence and Frank of Whiting, Clifford of Orwell and Frederick of Shoreham; two daughters, Sophia of Hartford, Conn., and Mrs. Leo Ryan of Whiting; 28 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

The funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Genevieve's Church, Shoreham, with burial in St. Genevieve's cemetery.
