Remarks: Discharged 08/21/1863 at New Orleans, LA for disability. Probate notice mentions the date 09/18/1863, but does not specifically state that this is the date of death. It appears that he died shortly after discharge from Louisiana, but no records have been found that confirm that he made it back to Vermont. St. Albans, VT was his last known residence.
