Allen M. Wheeler died December 7 at his home, 40 Maple street, following a brief illness of pneumonia. He was 79 years of age and a veteran of the Civil War. The body was taken to Orleans for interment and services held at the home of his daughter. Besides his wife, Mr. Wheeler is survived by two daughters, four brothers, one sister and four grandchildren.
