Obituary

Death of Erwin T. Whitcomb

Erwin T. Whitcomb died at his home on Willow street Thursday evening. The cause of his death was consumption. He was 49 years and 10 months old and was an old soldier. He enlisted in company A of the 8th Vermont infantry December 19, 1863, and was mustered out of service June 28, 1865.

He leaves a father, two brothers, V.W. and H.L. Whitcomb of this city, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Stone of this city and Mrs. Thomas Buckler of Bridgeport, Ct. The funeral will be held at the house this afternoon at 2 o'clock.
