Obituary

John Whitcomb, who suffered a stroke of paralysis last week, passed away Wednesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Percey Mears. Mr. Whitcomb was eighty three years of age and had spent the greater part of his life in this town where he has been respected as an honest, upright man in all his dealings. He leaves a widow and one daughter besides a number of grand and great-grandchildren. The funeral occurred Friday afternoon and the burial was at Maple Hill cemetery.
