Obituary

Rev. Mr. Hazen of Johnson was in town Monday to officiate at the funeral of Alvin Whitney, which was held at the Mills church. Mr. Whitney, who was a Civil War veteran, had been in failing health for many months. He leaves a wife and four sons, Lee, Ellery, Lovell, Loma. There remains but six old soldiers in the town.
