Vermont Phoenix (Brattleboro), August 13, 1863.

At Dummerston, Aug. 6th, Lieut. Paschal S. Laughton, of Co. B, 16th Vt. Vols., aged 29.

Lieutenant Laughton was unable from sickness to keep up on the march wth his regiment, and so was left at Funkstown, Md., about the middle of July. He returned home about two weeks since and was to all appearance getting better, but two or three days before his death he rapidly declined. He went out at Orderly Sergeant of Co. I, and was afterwards promoted for meritorious conduct.
