Obituary

SUICIDE. - Mr. Lotan Libbey, an old resident in the north part of Northfield, committed suicide last Saturday morning, by severing the jugular vein in his neck with a chisel. He was found dead by his family in the wood shed. He had recently returned from Virginia, having been a member of company F, 12th regiment. He showed evident signs of derangement of mind before his discharge from the service, and since his return home had been even more or less deranged.
