John Messenger passed away at the home of James Looney Tuesday morning, Nov. 2. He was born at Springfield 79 years ago, but had lived in Cambridge, Mass., until about three years ago, when he came to live with Mr. And Mrs. Looney, who have tenderly cared for him in his declining years. He leaves a son, Walter Messenger of Cambridge, Mass., who has been here caring for his father the past two weeks. The funeral was held Thursday, Rev. Henry Ballou officiating, with burial at Springfield.
