Obituary

NATIVE OF ISLE LA MOTTE AND CONFEDERATE VETERAN

Harry John Fleury, a native of Isle La Motte, died May 2 in Newport News, Va., in his 80th year. Early in life Mr. Fleury went to Texas and at the outbreak of the Civil War he entered the confederate army as a member of the 4th Texas cavalry, serving until the end of the war. Twenty-six years ago he moved to Newport News. He is survived by his wife, who was Mary Ella Barton of Rouses Point, N. Y., and by five children.
