John B. Gladue Dies at Home of Daughter – Was Civil War Veteran. John B. Gladue of Colchester died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Victor Perkins, in Colchester, yesterday morning at the age of 74. He was born in Ste. Marie de Monnoire, P. Q., December 2,1842. He enlisted when a boy from Keeseville, N. Y., in Company G, 142nd New York regiment, for the Civil war and served in the Battle of Gettysburg. May 22, 1868, he married Louise Nlet of Keeseville, who survives him. He also leaves seven children, Fred Gladue of Bethel, Paul Gladue of Pittsburg, Pa., Henry Gladue of Poultney, N. Y., Mrs. George N. Carver of Toledo, Ohio, Mrs. Gilbert Blais and Mrs. Victor Bergeron of Burlington. The funeral arrangements were not completed last evening.
