STOWE
Franklin K. Davis, Sr., Dies

Franklin K. Davis, aged 82, died yesterday afternoon about 4:30 o'clock at the home of Mr. And Mrs. J. C. Morgan of valvular disease of the heart. He had been in failing health about a month. He was born in Lowell, Mass., and belonged to an old and wealthy family of that place. He lived in Lowell most of his life, but had spent the past 21 years in Stowe. His nearest surviving relatives are nephews and nieces. He was a member of H. H. Post, G.A.R. From 1861 to 1865 he was engaged in clerical work in the army. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock at the Morgan home.
