Newport Center

Comrade John L. King, who has been failing gradually from disease contracted in the War of the Rebellion died the 19th, and his funeral was held at the Baptist church, Rev. A Villas officiating. He was a member of Alexander Post and the Post attended in a body, twenty-eight being present at the service. He served in the war nearly four years in Co. F, 3 Reg't., N. H. Vol.
