Obituary
Louis H. Ritchie, 85, G.A.R. Member, Dies.
Resident of North Clarendon Was Survivor of 83d New York Infantry.
Louis H. Ritchie, of North Clarendon, 85, a member of Roberts post, G.A.R., of this city, died yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock at his home after a long illness.
Besides his wife, Mr. Ritchie is survived by two sons, Charles Ritchie of Clarendon and Ellsworth J. Ritchie of the town of Rutland.
Mr. Ritchie served five years during the Civil war period as private in company B, 83d regiment, New York infantry.
He had made his home in Clarendon for more than 15 years. Previous to that he had resided in Cuttingsville and Plattsburgh, N.Y.
The funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the Sacred Heart of Mary church, this city. The burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery.
