Thomas L. Sheldon, 83, died last Saturday night after a brief illness, more the result of infirmities of age than from any acute disease. He came to this town some 30 years ago, and his wife died soon after. For a long time he has made his home in the family of T. E. Stockwell, but last summer went to board with Chas. S. Gould, where he died. He was a member of Company K, 33d Massachusetts regiment, in the civil war. He has had a large family of children, six of whom are living, but are widely scattered. The funeral was held Tuesday from the church, Rev. J. E. Cross officiating.
