Remarks: Adjutant General's Office burial records indicate Co. B, 6th VT INF, but not found in rosters. A headstone was ordered in 1890 with bogus unit information. WPA Graves Registration Card includes information based on the existence of the military stone at this cemetery, but the military service information on the card actually pertains to James C. Squires who is buried in Milton, VT and served in Co. A, 1st VT CAV.
