Carl C. Poole of St. Johnsbury, the boss bridge builder of the St. Johnsbury and Lake Champlain railroad, died suddenly at Swanton last week Wednesday. Death was caused by an injury sustained Feb. 16, when he was struck in the head by a piece of board which he was breaking. He was 61 years old, and leaves a wife and five children.
