Death of Dana Barton

The death of Dana Barton, 67, took place Saturday, Feb. 9, at 6 o'clock p.m. from heart disease. Mr. Barton was a civil war veteran, having enlisted in a Minnesota regiment. He had been a resident of this town many years and had lived on the farm where he died 29 years. His wife died eight years ago. He is survived by four children, Mrs. Joseph Randall of West Deerfield, Mass., Mrs. Frank Henry of this town, Mrs. Will Stebbins of North Bernardston and Gilbert, a son, who has lived at home. The funeral was held Tuesday at 11 o'clock at his late home, Rev. Mr. Sparks, pastor of the Baptist church, officiating. G. P. Miller and Mrs. S. M. Bullock sang several selections. The burial was in Halifax.
