Horace Elijah Barber died Monday morning at Edward Lewis's near Benson Landing. He was found dead in bed. He was born on Shoreham 81 years ago and was a veteran of the Civil War. He is survived by a sister in Poultney and one in Putnam, Mrs. Joseph Petty.
