Obituary
Mr. William Bates, aged 60 years, died at his home at St. Albans Bay, Dec. 28. He was taken with the grip December 19 and it resulted in typhoid pneumonia. Mr. Bates served about three years in Co. I, 10th Vermont Volunteers in the late war, and was a member of G.A.R. post, No. 60, of St. Albans. The funeral will be held at his late home Wednesday at 10 a.m.
