Robert Bixby, a veteran of the Civil War, died suddenly Wednesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Hoyt Kinney, where he had made his home for several years. He was a resident of this town for many years and resided for some time on Lee river. Mrs. Bixby died about 10 years ago. Mr. Bixby, who was 77 years of age, is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Hoyt Kinney and Mrs. Fred McGinnis of East Boston, and by a brother in Rutland. The funeral was held Saturday morning at eleven o'clock from his late home, and the burial was in the village cemetery.
